I have enjoyed my lessons with Charlie so much. The learning materials that Charlie sends before each lesson are excellent and provide a really good base for revising in my own time. Charlie’s style is engaging, full of enthusiasm and humour, and there is a great blend of tasks, listening, speaking and discussion. Frankly, Charlie has succeeded where so many language teachers of my youth couldn’t - she has made learning languages fun. I am really grateful for that.

I thoroughly enjoy my Spanish lessons with Charlie. She teaches in a practical and patient manner. The lessons are fun and I find she breaks down the lessons into manageable pieces. My Spanish has undoubtedly improved since taking my lessons with her and I am gaining confidence in every lesson with the language as a result of her.
Charlie is an amazing Spanish teacher, she has been teaching my son for a couple of months; helping him with his GCSE as he was struggling at school. I see a definite improvement in his confidence and grade. Charlie is always prepared for the lessons and makes you feel super comfortable! More importantly Adam eagerly looks forward to his next lesson. I would recommend Charlie to anyone looking improve their Spanish/French.

Charlie taught our son French from year 9 up until year 11. He is now displaying a very keen interest in the subject and wishes to pursue this in his further educational studies. We are naturally extremely pleased to witness these ambitions. It is evident to us that this is because he finds Charlie’s teaching methods to be influential, enthusiastic and persuasive. In summary, it is our son who has said to us that Charlie “is willing to help and understand you” As parents, we can ask for no more than this and can only thank her for putting in that little extra bit of effort, which has made such a difference to his willingness to learn.

Charlie is a great tutor and I would recommend her to not only students who are taking Spanish in school but also for people like me who are learning on their own. She is very patient — which anyone that takes a language needs – and it’s very comfortable to practice conversations, which is also a huge plus. I recommend her highly.
Charlie is an incredibly enthusiastic, kind and dedicated teacher. She taught me at GCSE level and her passion for French really showed through and inspired me to continue on to do A level, which she is helping me with now. Charlie is the kindest and most understanding teacher I ever had. If there was anything I was confused about, she talked me through it until I fully understood no matter how long it took for me to understand it. She was the one teacher who believed in me throughout and managed to get me a grade 7, even when I was predicted to get a 4! Thank you so much!!

Charlie is a fantastic teacher; I needed help with my GCSE Spanish, and after a few weeks I am already a lot more confident and my grades at school are already increasing. I find the lessons really well structured and fun, and I'm able to use the resources for my revision as well. Her enthusiasm for the subject is inspiring and makes me look forward to the lessons.
We had Charlie as our French instructor and couldn't have asked for a better tutor! Always in a great mood (especially for so early in the morning) which made the lessons all that more pleasurable, especially when some of the words were tricky to say! The way she described and dissected the French phrases made it much easier to understand, pronounce, and use. Every lesson was a joy and always the right level of difficulty, never too much nor too little, especially considering we had follow-up materials to revise on as well for future use. I always wanted to learn French and was apprehensive to take formal lessons. I am so glad to have Charlie as my teacher. She has been encouraging, supportive and has made learning French fun.
Charlie is a great teacher and has given me confidence to start speaking Spanish again after many years. Her lessons are well structured and she provides lots of supporting materials to help me between lessons. She is also very flexible around content and pace, and always checks to ensure I am happy with what we have covered in a lesson before moving on to the next topic. Absolutely amazing! Before my son started Spanish lessons with Charlie he had really lost his way for learning languages. I really had to nag him to start the lessons. However with Charlie's patience, dedication and passion my son is now transformed and now cannot wait for his lessons, and can actually now speak Spanish properly. My daughter was having a hard time with GCSE Spanish but since she has been tutored by Charlie , I can she is now really starting to enjoy learning the language. Charlie is a great teacher and I highly recommend her. She makes each lesson fun to learn and my daughter now looks forward to her tutoring every week and is feeling much more confident to take on her exams.
As a guardian, I asked Charlie to tutor Spanish to one of the children I look after. I find Charlie is an excellent teacher. She is lovely, friendly and immediate to get on with. She responded to emails and WhatsApp messages quickly in a professional way. She prepared well for each lesson. Her lessons were fun and easy to learn. Charlie used Tutorbird to organise the timetable and revision etc. The student got an account so he can access all the notes. There were tons of learning materials available to use on-demand on the site too. I also got access to the Tutorbird to find out the learning notes and process.Another thing I like to say is Charlie always adapts to the way which suits each student. She listens to the parents, students and guardians and makes changes quickly to suit the students.I highly recommend Charlie. Having Charlie as a tutor has been a game-changer for my Yr 9 daughter who is now confident and enthusiastic about French, and no longer worries about taking it for GCSE. My daughter is dyslexic and wasn't enjoying the French lessons at school, but she loves the zoom lessons with Charlie and her French has improved massively in a very short time.
